TEAM

Klarissa Moore (Founder)

Klarissa is the CEO and founder of Session Worldwide. She began dancing recreationally at the age of three dancing in dance studios in Oklahoma City. In middle school, her passion for dance really took off when she joined a dance team under great mentorship and coaching of Courtney Caruthers, who gave her multiple opportunities to choreograph for other dancers as well as her own solos. Moving into high school, Klarissa was only the second freshman to be welcomed onto the pom squad at Putnam City Original. During high school, Klarissa was the “Lieutenant”of the pom team, competed in dance competitions and was apart of the pre-professional dance company “Teen Race” all while participating in sports, maintaining a 4.0 GPA and teaching dance to kids at Movement Innovations. Her junior year she had a set back of a knee injury, which pushed her back 9 months all to come back into dance her senior year and win the title of “Performer of the Weekend” at LA Dance Magic. Within a few weeks of graduating high school Klarissa set off to Dallas to pursue her professional career making it as a dancer for the Texas Legends under the direction of Jen Contreraras. By the age of 19, Klarissa had built a resume of dancing for the Texas Legends for one season, then went on to dance for the Dallas Cowboys first and only co-ed hip hop team, the Dallas Cowboys Rhythm and Blue Dancers. During this time she booked her first commercial and became the director of a dance studio in Dallas. One of Klarissa’s favorite memories of her dance career was when she was at a Paula White Conference with her mother and got a call from the world renowned choreographer Jenny Durbin Smith, asking her to join the training camp for the Dallas Cowboys Rhythm and Blue Dance Team. Jenny Durbin Smith informed Klarissa that she had just gotten out of a branding meeting and because of Klarissa the board changed the age limit to join the team. Klarissa then joined the team becoming the first person under 21 to dance for DCRB, which was a huge accomplishment and inspiration for Klarissa to keep fighting the odds and hold on to her faith knowing that anything is possible through God. Because of this God given opportunity she got to dance alongside groups she looked up to since she was young such as the “Kinjaz,” was featured on “Good Morning Texas”, was able to perform in front of hundreds of thousands all while inspiring people to live their passion. Wrapping up her second season with the Cowboys, she had another minor setback with a knee injury which followed 9 months of recovery. Klarissa is an example of minor setbacks for major comebacks and just a few weeks after being cleared to dance, she was invited to perform in the Dallas Cowboys halftime show as a DCRB alumni. After that performance, she headed back to Oklahoma and was asked to join her home state team, The Oklahoma City Thunder, as an “O-City” Crew Member under the direction of Paige Carter and Cristhian Guzman, in which she danced with for three seasons. One of Klarissa’s favorite scriptures is Matthew 9:29 and she believes that because of her great faith and love of God, that He has made a path for her to continue her passion for dance all while taking everything she has learned and turning that into a program that helps others build confidence to go after their dreams.
